Contemplating the Long Hair

I've been contemplating growing out my hair for a long time. I haven't had it long since high school and I barely remember that. Still not sure about it but I wanted to know your opinions. I think I will eventually cut it short again but I would like to know what it feels like to actually be able to wear more than one style. (I apologize for the badly photoshopped picture but I wanted to have an idea of what it would look like.)

New Blog

Since I'm going to Spain on Sunday I've decided to make a new blog dedicated to my time in Spain. Be prepared for tons of pictures and fabulous stories. Next time I'll be writing from Spain!

Thank God you're here! Grandma's been raped!

Summer Heights High. It's a pretty awesome show. Here are some of my favorite quotes.

Mr. G: "We used to have bushes here, but a girl got raped behind them so we took them away, yep no more bushes..."

Ja’mie: "Wife beaters and rapists are nearly all public-school educated. Sorry, no offence, but it’s true."

Ja’mie: "I think what happens is, like, out in the outer suburbs, like, ugly people breed with other ugly people, right. So you end with really fugly kids. So that’s why you look around a public school and on average, like no offence, but people are more fugly. Whereas in a private school area, in a rich school area… (shut up, let me explain), in a rich area, like, hotter people breed with hot people and have hotter kids."

Ja'mie: "Friends don't send each other two text messages an hour saying "See you in English", "Save me a seat!"

Principle: ‎"Ranga's arent a race Jonah."
Jonah: "But sir, they're everywhere!"'

Mr. G: ‎"Thank god your here! Grandma's been raped!''

Ja'mie: "This is the Dolce and Gabbana dress that I wore to my year 9 formal. As you can see, it still fits me.”

Ja'mie: "I had an eating disorder in year 8 so my breasts didnt develope properly."

Ja'mie: "Look at my phone, its a blackberry. i would let you borrow it, but it's worth like thousands of dollars and my dad would kill me."

Mr. G: "She's a naughty girl, with a (swings his head) bad habit, bad habit for drugs..."

Ja'mie: "Ooo you've got wheelchair people, that's soo cute..I LOVE disabled people!"

Ja'mie: "A school that bans formals is a school that bans life"

Mr G: "She was what the other students would call.... a slut."

Ja'mie: "Asians will get into limos with lesbians .... and my group will talk to the fugly girls"

Ja'mie: "They pick on you? Can you introduce me to them?"

Ja'mie: "He made me feel less hot!"

Mr. G: "Mr G is how should i say...a jesus type character in the musical"

Ja'mie: "She was all like, 'Uhhh, Jai'me, you're a pedophile, because you're going out with a year 7.' But I'd rather be a pedophile than a lesbian, seriously."

New Apartment

The new place! Moving in was exhausting but I'm finally finished with it all.
Yesterday we got cable and my life is complete.

Cox messed up my set up date so I had to wait an extra week before we got internet and cable but thankfully the guy who set up our cable was really nice and completely set everything up perfectly.

I have furniture now! Nice to know the things in my place are actually mine.

Meeka has been up here with us and it's been great. She's gotten pretty used to the place. There are tons of animals here though. Which is good and bad I guess. Meeka gets to see a lot of dogs and cats so that keeps her on her toes but I'm also afraid if I ever let her out without a leash that she will run up to another dog or chase a cat. She's been doing good till now though so I think things will be fine.

My new living room! I plan on spending many hours here. Enjoying life and such.

Sick

I'm in one of those funks again. Went to the doctor today and found out I have an ear infection so that doesn't help things either. When I'm not at work I'm in my little room watching online tv. I go out some nights but I'm just not really as happy as I could be. I know it's just me being a debbie downer and I'm ready for this all to end but I feel like it's been going on for months now. I usually spend summers with my family in my own house so being in a new apartment alone is hard to get used to. A lot of my friends are out of town for the summer and my boyfriend is non existent these days. I'm bringing up Meeka this week and I'll be moving into my permanent apartment with cable tv and a ceiling fan so things should be looking up. I purchased my ticket to Spain today and could not be more ready to leave the country! Hopefully my next post will be a happy one : )

Moving on up to the West Side

I finally got everything moved out of my room at Campus Lodge. I felt like I lived there for two years and now I'm out. Staying at Cedar Lake for a couple of weeks then moving into my new place at Post Oak. Moving was horrible. So many things and far too much physical activity. I plan on just working and enjoying being lazy until I go to Spain June 26th.

Tv wise I just started watching a few new shows: Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, and The Killing. Also watching United States of Tara and other randoms. Considering investing in Oprah's new network OWN. I love my documentaries.

Photography Final

Today I presented my photography final for introduction to photography. The title was "The three stages of passion." I chose to display 3 types of passion for a subject. The first set of pictures shows a woman who has taken her passion for photography and turned it in into a living. This shoot was done while I was on a workshop with her.

The second set shows a man who has taken his passion for telling stories through film and turned it into his field of study as well as a future career. This photo shoot was done over a long span of  hours finally ending around 3am. This again shows the passion this person had for this craft.

The third set of photos shows two women that have passion for the hobbies they do in their every day life. One is shown playing video games and the second is shown reading. These are two hobbies that almost anyone can relate to. These last photos are taken up close to show the intimacy of being at home in your element doing the thing you love to do.

Photo Workshop

Last Thursday I had my photography workshop with Amanda Keith (indiejanephotography). I had a blast and learned so much! I can't wait to take advantage of the new skills I have in location scouting, time management, shooting, editing, and the overall business side of taking photos. I'm hoping to come up with a logo for my photo "business" soon. I more or less need it just to have a watermark on my photos. Right now it's not that big of a problem. It's not like people are trying to steal my photos but I want to start making it a standard so I look more professional. So until I get some ideas here is one of the photos I have been working on. I edited this photo twice. The one that I used for my actual final is not this one. I'll post those later. I had to stay with a more realistic feel for those. This one was just for fun.
